Designing the Guest Room 1

The Kelsey room: Pottery Barn's room is the inspiration - these guys have the best catalogues (this pic is from their catalog) going.
The room's challenge is the existing pale blue (lt robin's egg).

So, the theme will be Hollywood Elegant - light blue, silvery, ethereal, white, cloudlike, classic, soft, comfort... shimmery white curtains, white blinds, white chenille slipcovered wing chair, venetian mirror, white antique milk glass lamp, white embroidered linens, sterling silver accessories, the large dark antique dresser and traditional round bedside/side table(s) are the only dark colors. The bedding is a silvery grey/blue print with down comforters, fluffy pillows, white sheets. Needs a nice rug, that will be the hardest thing to find. Also needs bedside lighting, that you can turn off as you go to sleep. Will post pics as it comes together.

What goes behind the headboard is still in question - painting? mirror? curtain/canopy of sorts? Still working on that, but bringing in the play of light is a good thing. I've got some designs in mind.

Update: Changing slightly, will know more when the new duvet arrives - Pottery Barn's Spring Butterfly, light blue background, light floral, butterflies and hummingbirds, slightly more country, but will dovetail nicely with the Logan room's bird/naturalist theme.
